This work is indebted to the great skill of master tinsmith James Collins. Inspired by watching the master craftsman at work, these pieces were later created using traditional tinsmithing techniques such as those practiced by Collins. A tension emerges within the forms; between vessels which represent a fundamental physical need, and jewellery, normally considered a great luxury.
